Steve now an older studio painter, who enjoys the comfort and experience and comfort of indoor studio painting.

Steve likes to create and develop original works of art

He uses a variety of mediums including the delicate translucent water colour to the strength of opaque oils, preferring the oils for the strength in colours and the flexibility of application to paint on a large scale

Steve built his gallery in a colonial style of brick and local stone true to the pioneering spirit of Australia

The gallery was opened to the public in 1993

The gallery is housed overlooking Paringa’s Mundic Creek wetlands there is a viewing space of 12 squares.

Steve’s goanna sculpture sits on a local 3 ton limestone rock, the sculpture steel framed cement rendered and finished with ceramic tiles

The gallery was named after a large goanna on the property

The machine an early stripper circa 1900, donated by a local farmer,  was superseded by the sunshine harvester

Steve also has work on exhibition at the local Woolshed brewery which is worth a visit if in the area
